Dr. Karel Valansi

Karel Valansi, PhD, is a Global Academy expert and assistant editor at Global Panorama. Previously, she was a lecturer in the Department of International Relations at Istanbul Kultur University, a political columnist focused on Middle East affairs in T24 and Şalom Newspaper. Her academic interests include Security Studies, the Middle East, the Palestinian conflict, Turkey-Israel relations, and Turkish foreign policy. She is a member of the Women in Foreign Policy Initiative and is actively involved in many initiatives promoting religious minority rights and women’s empowerment.
